MedicoHelp ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our platform at medicohelpwebsite.pages.dev.
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account — including your name, email address, and any optional profile details. We also collect usage data automatically: pages visited, MCQs answered, study session durations, and feature interactions. This data is stored in your browser's localStorage and, when you are signed in, synced to our Supabase database.
We use your data exclusively to: (a) provide and improve the MedicoHelp learning experience, (b) personalise your study recommendations and spaced-repetition schedule, (c) display leaderboards and league standings with your in-app username, and (d) send optional study reminders if you have granted push-notification permission. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Every account receives a unique MH-ID (e.g. MH-AB3D7E). This identifier is derived deterministically from your account and is used for premium upgrades and in-app recognition. It is not linked to any government or financial identification.
Premium plan status is stored in your account metadata on Supabase. Payment processing, when introduced, will be handled by third-party providers (e.g. Razorpay or Stripe). MedicoHelp does not store full card numbers or banking details. Refer to the payment provider's own privacy policy for details.
We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service — to understand how users interact with MedicoHelp. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully compliant with GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). No consent banner is required. Plausible's privacy policy is available at plausible.io/privacy.
We use browser localStorage to store your progress, gamification state, and offline content. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Essential session cookies are set by Supabase to maintain your login state. No third-party advertising cookies are placed on your device.
We share data only with infrastructure providers necessary to run the service: Supabase (database and auth), Cloudflare Pages (hosting and CDN), and Plausible Analytics (cookieless, privacy-first). All providers are bound by their own data-processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing docakshaythakur@gmail.com. Local data stored in your browser can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
MedicoHelp is intended for MBBS students and medical professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of MedicoHelp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
