Clinical Presentation

A 22-year-old male college student is brought by his parents with a 3-week history of social withdrawal, decreased sleep, and talking to himself. He believes his classmates are plotting against him and that the TV is sending him special messages. No past psychiatric history. No substance use. No medical comorbidities.
